Meridian remains my world-building and reply-control pick, while Secret Desires retained the planted inventory at both checks in the October 6 script. I completed 20 turns on both and AI Peeps; Soulkyn’s trial stopped its run after eight.

Meridian remains my pick for world-building and reply steering, backed by 4.8 chat and character review scores. In the October 6 Orion run it retained most planted facts after scene changes, but used the account persona’s name and became uncertain about a coin. Regenerate retained both the original and replacement as separate slides; earlier September notes also record Guided Regenerate and Guided Continue. The recorded $7.99 Starter plan is an entry price, not a guarantee that every premium model is unlimited.

In the September 2 roleplay evaluation, it stayed reasonably competitive with OurDream and Soulkyn but showed more persona drift and weaker memory than the top four. The free sample lasts 20 messages with no free character creation, then paid access starts at $12 monthly. Images cost around $0.20 and video around $0.67, although neither fixes a character who has forgotten why she entered the room.

Persona consistency comes first. A dominant character should not become shy three replies later, and a sarcastic one should not turn into a customer-service script because the scene changed rooms. Memory comes next, especially for relationships, boundaries, clothing, and unfinished actions. Then I look at scene control: editing, regeneration, continuation, response styles, and any way to steer the next beat without dumping instructions into the dialogue. Price matters over long sessions, while visible filter controls help set expectations before the fun starts. Soulkyn exposes the clearest rating and intensity settings, but Meridian gives me the best overall control once the roleplay is moving.

A plain reroll gives you another reply; guided correction lets you explain what went wrong. Meridian’s fresh Regenerate test retained the original and replacement as separate slides. September evidence records Guided Regenerate and Guided Continue on Meridian, and Regenerate and Continue on Secret Desires and OurDream. AI Peeps’ earlier review describes regeneration by deleting the last response; that destructive route was not exercised in this batch. Check whether a control preserves the original before using it in a scene you want to keep.

Meridian remains my pick for detailed worlds and reply steering. Secret Desires was particularly strong on the fresh planted-fact checks, so choose based on the workflow and model you need.

AI Peeps completed 20 turns on the existing free allowance. Secret Desires’ earlier review records a 90-message starter allowance. Soulkyn’s account trial has ended, so it is not an ongoing free-chat recommendation for this tested account.
Meridian gives you the most direct control through standard Regenerate and Continue plus guided versions of both. The guided tools let you tell the AI how to replace or extend a reply without putting those directions into your character dialogue.
Regenerate replaces the last AI response, while Continue asks the AI to extend the scene from where it stopped. Meridian, Secret Desires, and OurDream support both in the recorded roleplay evidence.
Meridian and Secret Desires offer strong control without Soulkyn's heavier setup burden. Soulkyn has more visible knobs, including content ratings and an intensity slider, but arranging everything takes more work.
On October 6 I used one 20-turn adventure script with recall checks at turns 10 and 20 after scene changes. Meridian, Secret Desires, AI Peeps and the AI Dungeon reference completed it; Soulkyn stopped after eight script replies when the trial ended. Different models and starting personas limit direct comparisons. Older valid findings are retained separately; this is not a romantic, explicit-image or unlimited-memory benchmark.
