A sharp voice needs solid sources.
Our news and blog cover a personal corner of technology. That calls for clear evidence, fair language, and a little less hype.
What earns a story
We cover meaningful changes in AI companions, adult platforms, and adjacent AI tools: privacy and security incidents, business changes, major launches, original research, and policy developments. Routine marketing announcements and recycled rumors do not earn a post just to fill a calendar.
Evidence before attitude
Every article links to the material behind its claims. We prioritize official announcements, original research, regulator notices, and court records. Sensitive reporting requires corroboration across independent sources. Several outlets repeating the same claim do not make it independently verified. A company announcement establishes what the company says; it does not establish that a feature performs as advertised.
Facts, claims, and our take
We distinguish documented events from allegations, company claims, and analysis. A complaint is an allegation; an inquiry is not a finding of wrongdoing. Our analysis is labeled Spicy’s take. We explain what a development could mean for users without inventing tests, interviews, expertise, or access we do not have.
Dates and updates
Articles show when they were published, when they were updated, and the event date where relevant. Older developments belong in dated explainers rather than being presented as breaking news. Material changes to a published article include an update or correction note.
Commercial independence
Affiliate relationships do not decide which incidents we report or what we conclude. News source links are editorial citations. Related platform reviews may contain affiliate links; those relationships are disclosed separately. Paid placement or sponsored reporting must be identified explicitly.
Privacy in our reporting
We report the implications of privacy incidents without reproducing leaked private conversations, exposing affected users, or linking to stolen data. An intimate product does not make its users fair game.
Corrections
If something is wrong, send the article URL, the disputed claim, and supporting evidence through our contact page. We assess corrections, amend material errors, and add a dated note explaining substantive changes. We can withdraw a story while its evidence is reassessed.
